The design is open to interpretation, which is surely the best thing about art.
But for me it is a gentle reminder to set aside some regular time each week, to remember my family and friends who have scooted on ahead into the mystical unknown ✨💫☄️🪐🪄I still struggle to do this, but I know I’ll get the hang of it one day.
I had been in México during El Día De Los Muertos previously, so was already contemplating death and how we grieve. A week or so after I made it, my surrogate Grandma, Linda, died. She and Bill were the sweetest and most consistent people in my life since I was a tiny baby. Fate pulled a fucking blinder when it put my parents' house near theirs.
